Chicago Youth Voices Network is a collaborative of youth media professionals working together to strengthen the field of youth media. By gathering leaders together for peer learning, advocacy and joint projects, the Chicago Youth Voices Network works to amplify the voices of our city’s young people, so that the important stories they tell through the media they create can catalyze positive change in their own lives and the communities in which they live.
With NUF-Said 2.0, CYVN is leading an effort to build a city-wide web portal that uses youth media to highlight the multiple issues impacting Chicago’s young people. The project uses a participatory design process to create a safe platform that enables participants to learn, connect, and organize with one another based on common interests and discover avenues for further civic and political participation.
